Platinum printing is a contact printing process that requires the negative to be the same size as the final print. To achieve this the image to be printed is processed in Photoshop to create a digital negative.
The following steps are used:
A platinum process correction curve is applied and the image is inverted and flipped horizontally. The image is then sharpened and resized to the size required for the print. The digital negative is then printed on Agfa CopyJet film using an inkjet printer.
